You would think with the 8 or so hours I am literally chained to a computer that I would vomit up some more posts. Problem is I don't have any fishing adventures to share since the regular trouting season ended.
Why the hell am I not steelheading or hunting you say? Well that simple to explain...
I work too damn much!
I have taken up a job cooking on my "weekends" away from the 911 console at a winery/bar/music joint called Sapolil Cellars. Well it's actually called Bistro 15.
Fact is if I tell people that they never find it. Look it up on Facebook if your bored. Here is me in my pimp cooking outfit!
Yes, that's grease on the camera
At this point I run a pretty tight schedule and have hard time finding a way to slot in fishing.
Most days are something like this.
Up at 2:40pm, brush teeth, dress, out the door to get the spawn from school.
Be daddy until 8pm when the X gets the kid
Work by 9:50pm, smash face off keyboard until 6am.
Bed by 7am-ish.
Wash, rinse, repeat
Friday, up by 1430, play daddy until 1730.
At the grill by 1800 until 0130.
Saturday, up by whenever, pry the nephew and kid off the xbox, go outside or somewhere and do something. Back to Sapolil by 1800 till 0130.
On a side note they have incredible bands Friday and Saturday and I get drinks at 50% off!
Sunday, at Sapolil by 1600 and close the kitchen in time for Monday at dispatch at 2200.
So if I want to fish I have to short myself on sleep.
Throw in Cub Scouts 2 Mondays a month with related outings.
And oh yeah! I am a volunteer firefighter again too. Walla Walla Fire District 8. So two Wednesdays a month for meetings/trainings and related tone-outs spread across the month. But hey, I get to play with fire again. Could do without the accidents on the highway.
I did manage to get out fishing. Just not on the fly. I finally got my invite to the cool kids club I have been campaigning for. I got be a knuckle-dragging bait tosser with one of the fishaholic police officers on his boat. We plopped into the mighty Snake River and tossed shrimp and pulled plugs at the mouth of the Tucannon River.
We landed a hatchery fish and smoked some cigars. Talked shop and trashed on all the things we hate that people do.
I had to take a vacation day but sooooooo worth it!
Enough brain sewage rant. I shall finish with some more of these droidtastic photos with random narrative.
Haircut and Frozen Yogurt. Can't have one without the other.
Halloween was fun
We added two more cats to the mix. I hate the litter box now...
Kaden got his Bobcat badge!
Cub Scout Rocket was epic!
I am getting better at steelhead flies. John Shewey is my hero!
Spaghettios with meatballs and grilled cheese. Yes, that's milk in a beer glass and coffee cup.
That's how we roll!
Tight Lines

Congrats Kaden for getting your bobcat badge! I miss cub and boy scouts. That is awesome tying at work and they are looking great!
